Micron Inspection & Calibration Services, Inc. is a full-service calibration and inspection laboratory, established in November 1997, faithfully serving South Central PA and businesses throughout the nation. We are a woman-owned & minority-owned business. Our staff is comprised of expertly trained personnel with military, engineering, quality assurance and inspection backgrounds. Instrument calibration is a standardized process and one that must produce repeatable and reliable results every time it is performed. At MicronPA, accreditations such as ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 provide a way to ensure that all work is done correctly and to high standards that our clients can count on every time. ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 are the two most important calibration standards used by labs in the United States. Though they have many similarities, an ISO/IEC 17025 calibration lab and an ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 calibration lab are not identical. Both standards stress the need for technician competence and ongoing training. Accredited labs must employ repeatable processes that can be scaled upwards as demand requires. ISO/IEC 17025, however, is international in scope. It outlines specific traceability requirements in SI units. It is also broader, as it covers testing as well as calibration services. Both standards help labs run leaner operations that do more with less. At MicronPA, this ultimately translates to greater value for our customers.
